Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a PC Technician to provide desktop support, workstation configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems in an enterprise military environment. The ideal candidate possesses foundational IT certifications, hands‑on experience supporting Army or Joint Mission Command systems, and strong technical skills related to hardware, software, and network workstation operations.
Responsibilities- Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, laptops, and peripheral equipment in accordance with DoD standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network workstation issues.
- Configure, validate, and maintain networked workstations in enterprise environments.
- Document and track incidents, support tickets, and technical resolutions following established procedures.
- Identify cyber threats or workstation vulnerabilities and report issues as required.
- Support operation, maintenance, and security of IT systems, ensuring compliance with DoD policies.
- Provide user assistance, training, and troubleshooting for workstation hardware, operating systems, and approved applications.
- Maintain an understanding of physical computer components, IT architecture, and system interoperability with Army/Joint Mission Command systems.
- Assist with workstation imaging, updates, patches, and inventory management.
- Ensure proper handling and protection of government IT equipment and data.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity personnel to ensure secure and reliable system operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and technical tasks.
- Associate degree in an IT-related field OR four years of professional IT experience
- Active Secret clearance required
- Current certification meeting DCWF Client Systems Technician (411) Basic proficiency level
- Networking concepts and protocols
- Cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Basic physical components and IT architecture
- IT system operation, maintenance, and security
- Hardware/software troubleshooting
- Network workstation configuration and validation
- Incident documentation and tracking
- Knowledge of interoperability with Army and/or Joint Mission Command systems
- Experience providing IT support in an enterprise environment
