Security Operations Center Analyst

Overview

As a Security Operations Center Analyst you will be the first line of cyber defense, monitoring, analyzing, and responding to threats in real time. You will work with a team to mitigate incidents, restore operations, and limit impact while learning to hone your cybersecurity skills through hands‑on threat assessment and incident response.

• Monitor and analyze security alerts using advanced tools.
• Investigate and remediate security incidents, identifying root causes and impacts.
• Conduct threat hunting and utilize threat intelligence to recognize attacker patterns.
• Assist in recovery efforts and restore affected systems.
• Collaborate with the SOC team to implement best practices and security measures.
• Support 24/7 operations through shift work.

• Experience with incident response tasks, including step identification within the IR process, remediation of incidents that could have potential impact, and ongoing investigations.
• Knowledge of basic IT forensics.
• Willingness to learn tier‑1 SOC analyst duties and responsibilities.
• TS/SCI clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• HS diploma or GED.

• Experience with Elastic or Splunk.
• Experience with threat hunting.
• Experience with system administration.

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary range: $99,000.00–$ (annualized USD) depending on location, experience, and other factors. The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
