Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site SAP GTS Senior Consultant role based in Texas, NC. The SAP GTS Senior Consultant will configure, implement, and support SAP Global Trade Services solutions, aligning system design with business and regulatory requirements for global trade and compliance. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and performing system configuration, testing, and documentation.

The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional and technical resources, business stakeholders, and external partners, to deliver enhancements and resolve production issues. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, managing change requests, preparing training materials, and guiding end users through new processes and system features. The role may also involve mentoring junior consultants and contributing to best practices and templates for SAP GTS across the organization.
Qualifications

• Strong SAP GTS functional expertise, including configuration, integration with core SAP modules (e.g., SD, MM), and experience with compliance, customs, and trade preference processes.
• Proven experience in global trade compliance, import/export processes, and understanding of related regulatory requirements and documentation.
• Ability to gather, analyze, and document business requirements, create functional specifications, and design scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Demonstrated skill in system testing (unit, integration, and user acceptance), issue analysis, and production support in SAP environments.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
• Experience leading or contributing to SAP implementation, rollout, or upgrade projects, preferably in a senior or lead consultant capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant SAP or trade compliance certifications, and experience with offshore or distributed delivery models, are beneficial.
