Opportunity

Cape Fear Valley Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a busy, well-established outpatient Gastroenterology clinic in Fayetteville, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for an APP who enjoys building long-term patient relationships, practicing at the top of their license, and working collaboratively with physicians and a multidisciplinary care team.

You will play an integral role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered GI care, supported by experienced gastroenterologists, dedicated clinical staff, and efficient clinic operations designed to promote work-life balance.

APP will work primarily with a supervising gastroenterologist who provides close, hands-on supervision, mentorship, and ongoing teaching. This position offers a strong educational environment and is an excellent opportunity for an APP who wishes to develop deep expertise and become a highly skilled gastroenterology APP over time

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders
• Conduct follow-up visits, pre- and post-procedure evaluations, and patient education
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Review diagnostic testing, labs, and imaging
• Participate in quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• GI experience preferred; strong interest in gastroenterology encouraged
• Current or eligible North Carolina licensure
• BLS/ACLS certification as appropriate
• Strong communication skills and patient-centered approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
