NP/PA Nocturnist Hospitalist Opportunity in Roanoke Rapids, NC

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health North Hospital, located in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work with their Hospitalist program. A minimum of one year of in-patient experience as a provider is required.

• Hospital privileges at ECU Health North Hospital, a 204-bed community hospital
• Schedule:
  
  7 on/7 off, Tuesday – Monday from 7p – 7am
• No Call
• Established hospitalist program inclusive of 11 Physicians & 1 Advanced Practice Provider
• Hospitalist program provides care to patients in an 8-bed open ICU with support from a pulmonary critical care physician and by a tele-intensivist service based out of ECU Health Medical Center
• Clinical responsibilities will include admissions and consults from ED, rounding on inpatients as needed, discharges, and coordination of patient and family care needs.
• Advanced practice providers work independently with limited daily physician supervision.
• Specialty support includes Interventional and General Cardiology (onsite cath lab), General Surgery, Oncology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonary Critical Care, Nephrology, Radiology, Infectious Disease (telemedicine), Psychiatry (telemedicine), and Neurology (telemedicine)
• No procedures required.
• Average inpatient admissions volume for hospitalist service is 5-10 patients per night
• Opportunity to live on Lake Gaston
• Easy commute from Knightdale, Raleigh, Wilson, Rocky Mount and from Southern Virginia
• ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association are required.
