Job Description
We are seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations in the USA – NC – Fayetteville – Morgan.
Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and serological protein electrophoresis assessment.
- Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for medical emergencies and coordinate donor transport to emergency care facilities.
- Consult with the Center Physician and Medical Affairs on medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
- Support hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees.
- Manage employee incidents and evaluate further occupational health/ER evaluation as needed.
- Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations of pandemic threats.
- High school diploma or equivalent; graduate nursing program state requirements.
- Current state license or certification:
Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA). - Current CPR and AED certification.
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Completion of FDA-approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
- Two years of clinical or hospital experience.
Hourly wage range: $35.20 – $48.40 per hour.
