Assist with daily clinical activities under the supervision of physicians, RNs, and/or nurse practitioners providing primary care services, while modeling appropriate behavior aligned with organizational mission and values.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with established patient care guidelines and maintain clinic policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Obtain, organize, and record accurate patient data.
  • Update all patient records following clinical information from physicians, nurse practitioners, including lab results.
  • Assist physicians, RNs, and nurse practitioners with procedures as needed.
  • Perform day‑to‑day clinical operations under supervision.
  • Help maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Perform limited‑scope X‑ray duties in accordance with state regulations, with required certification or as needed.
  • Carry out other job functions as assigned or requested.
Education and Training

Required:

Technical degree or diploma in nursing.

Preferred:
No prior work experience.

Licenses and Certifications
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT – American Heart Association
  • Licensed Practical Nurse – Tennessee – Tennessee Board of Nursing
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and physicians.
  • Begin patient visits with eye contact, a smile, greeting, and use of the patient’s name.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient computer skills, including successful navigation of the EMR with appropriate documentation.
  • Ability to review computer reports following evidence‑based guidelines.
  • Quickly react to emergency situations.
Supervision

No supervisory or lead responsibilities are assigned to this position.

Physical Demands

The physical activities of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. The role requires medium work, exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently. The associate is required to have close visual acuity, including color, depth perception, and field of vision, to perform activities such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.

Frequent invasive and non‑invasive patient contact and exposure to patient body fluids, as well as hazardous or poisonous materials, are expected.
