American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele night shift position requiring an active NC or compact license and 2 years of relevant experience.

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level III trauma center and teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within scope to like units or sister campus depending on staffing needs
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active RN license (NC or compact) required, must be in hand prior to consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Advanced EKG exam required as part of compliance for this specialty
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Tele nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Scrub color requirement: royal blue and white
• Provide nursing care within a Level III trauma, teaching hospital environment
• RTO limited to a maximum of 4 days, subject to manager discretion
• Only 1 holiday may be approved for time off during the assignment
• Night shift assignments may be extended up to twice; day shift assignments may be extended once, after which a 6-month break is required before reapplying
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius of the main campus
