** Responsibilities
* ** Record a patient’s medical history accurately
* Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
* Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
* Monitor patients’ condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts
* Assist ailing patients in daily necessary activities such as eating, bathing etc.
* Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
* Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
* Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
* Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

** Qualifications
* ** Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
* Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
* Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing preferred.
* Comprehensive knowledge of nursing processes, care planning, and clinical assessment.
* Ability to perform comprehensive resident assessments and develop individualized care plans.
* Skilled in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy (where permitted), and complex clinical interventions.
* Strong leadership abilities with experience supervising LPNs, CNAs, and other support staff.
* Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing long-term care facilities, including standards established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
* Experience with quality improvement initiatives, infection control programs, and regulatory compliance.
* Proficiency with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems.
* Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
* Commitment to resident-centered care, advocacy, and maintaining resident dignity and safety.
* Current CPR/BLS certification
