Senior Advisor, Safety

• Champion and support implementation of Enbridge’s Safety Management System across Business Unit operations
• Lead rollout of new or updated SMS elements and occupational health and safety programs
• Develop and deliver region-specific safety communications and plans, including SOAP and long-term safety priorities
• Analyze safety data trends and generate reports for continuous improvement
• Contribute to development and delivery of safety training programs
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes
• Coach and support regional leadership and safety representatives in completing safety responsibilities
• Spend time outdoors and in an office setting
• Travel occasionally, approximately 10%, throughout Canada and the United States

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field, or 9+ years of experience for candidates without a university degree
• 6+ years of progressive experience in safety advisory roles, preferably in the energy or industrial sector
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing uncertainty and learning quickly
• Certified Safety Professional, Canadian Registered Safety Professional, or other Professional Board Certification is an asset
• Ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States
• Valid passport required
• Valid driver’s license and responsible driving record required
• Ability to meet physical requirements including grasping, kneeling, light to moderate lifting up to 20 pounds, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual and hearing requirements
• Ability to sit at a computer for long periods
• Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral or written instructions
• Ability to understand complex problems and collaborate on alternative solutions
• Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules
• Ability to make decisions with moderate impact
• Ability to complete routine forms and compose basic reports
• Ability to communicate by telephone
• Legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located without employment-based sponsorship

Demonstrates expertise in implementing Safety Management Systems and developing safety training programs, with a strong focus on data analysis for continuous improvement. Possesses the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships while managing safety responsibilities across diverse teams.
