Assists the FSQA Team with all aspects pertaining to Quality Assurance & Food Safety and regulatory compliance within the Company.
Duties and Responsibilities- Monitor regulatory compliance of various operations
- Monitor HACCP and SSOP compliance
- Monitor and ensure company Quality and SQF/GFSI Standards
- Assist with the company’s Environmental Monitoring Program
- Develop and assist with employee training
- Work with and assist USDA
- Create and maintain records relating to monitoring activities
- Provide feedback to the Vice President of FSQA
- Any other duties requested by Vice President of FSQA
Skills and Abilities
- Good oral and written communication skills (Spanish a plus)
- Familiar with USDA and FDA regulations
- Able to work under pressure/stressful situations
- Able to work independently and efficiently
- Flexible with working hours and job functions
- Willing to learn and follow directions
- Able to work cooperatively with other departments
- Able to strictly maintain confidentiality
- Able to work in a cold, damp environment
- College education preferred
- Experience in QA/food safety preferred, Must be HACCP / PCQI certified
- Primarily 1st shift. Must be flexible to work any shift as needed
