The Director of Business Development & Outreach owns Brent Care's referral growth across North Carolina. You'll build and deepen relationships with clinicians, physicians, schools, hospitals, and community organizations, and serve as the region's trusted resource for adolescent and family behavioral health care. When Brent Care is the right fit, you will work to guide referents and families from first call through admission.

When it isn't, you'll help them find the right vetted option. You will be accountable for measurable results: referral volume, admissions, and market share in your territory.

• Conduct face-to-face meetings to understand referents' needs, address barriers to treatment, and establish Brent Care as a go-to partner.

• Deliver presentations, CE events, and workshops tailored to clinical, school, and community audiences.

• Represent Brent Care at conferences, networking events, and professional gatherings, including some evenings and weekends.

• Coordinate facility tours and referent visits to Brent Care programs.

• Develop and execute a written plan for North Carolina, with defined referral and admissions targets.

• Analyze referral patterns and CRM data to prioritize accounts, identify new channels, and recover lapsed referents.

• Identify key decision-makers across outpatient practices, psychiatric hospitals, pediatricians, school systems, EAPs, and military networks, and build a consistent in-person call cadence.

• Consistently meet or exceed monthly referral and admissions goals.

• Respond promptly to referral inquiries and support referring professionals and families through admission.

• Partner closely with Admissions and Clinical teams to ensure a seamless, coordinated experience for families.

• Help families understand the treatment process and what to expect in the early stages of care.

• Maintain a working knowledge of regional behavioral health resources so you can recommend appropriate alternatives when Brent Care isn't the right fit.

• Log all KPI activity (meetings, calls, emails, etc) in CRM.

• Collaborate with Marketing on collateral, digital content, and event strategy, providing field insight on what resonates in the market.

• Stay current on trends in adolescent mental health, substance use treatment, and the competitive landscape.

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marketing, or a related field.

• 1+ year experience in business development, clinical outreach or healthcare sales or 3+ years of relevant industry experience.

• Working knowledge of adolescent development, mental health, and substance use disorders.

• Strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a compassionate approach to families in crisis.

• Proficiency with CRM systems and comfort using data to guide strategy.

• Ability to travel regularly throughout North Carolina, with occasional overnight travel within NC and to Brent Care facilities; valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
