The UNC Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, is seeking a highly motivated Research Project Manager to support a growing portfolio of clinical research initiatives focused on human subjects research and improving pediatric infectious disease outcomes. Reporting to the Program Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship, this role will provide both strategic leadership and hands‑on coordination across the full lifecycle of clinical research studies, including planning, execution, and dissemination.
The position is responsible for overseeing daily research operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and institutional requirements, managing IRB submissions and documentation, supporting protocol development, and coordinating efforts among faculty, research staff, trainees, and external collaborators.
