FMTV Field Service Representative

STS Technical Services is hiring Traveling Field Service Representatives (FSRs) to support maintenance operations on military wheeled vehicles. This position requires 50% to 100% travel. When not deployed to supporting sites, FSRs will report to the assigned local military installation near Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Candidates must live within 50 miles of Ft. Bragg, Fayetteville, North Carolina.

If you are mechanically skilled, disciplined, and comfortable working independently while representing a national defense support program, this role offers strong stability and mission-driven impact.

The Traveling Field Service Representative is responsible for deprocessing military vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, coordinating parts ordering, and ensuring warranty compliance. This is a stand‑alone field role where you represent the entire STS team directly to the customer.

Professionalism, technical competence, and strong communication are essential.

• Deprocess military wheeled vehicles
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, repairs, and parts ordering
• Submit a deficiency report for each vehicle inspected
• Work closely with the Warranty department on a daily basis
• Use Microsoft Teams, One Warranty, and attend scheduled reporting meetings
• Maintain a professional appearance and customer‑focused demeanor
• Coordinate directly with individual customer points of contact at each site
• Schedule travel to and from supporting locations with the STS travel team
• Submit weekly status reports
• Represent STS Technical Services independently at assigned locations

• Active Class A or Class B CDL required
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time
• Must live within 50 miles of Ft. Bragg, Fayetteville, North Carolina
• Strong mechanical diagnostic and repair skills
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong communication and customer interaction skills

• Per diem authorized only when traveling more than 50 miles from your Home of Record near the assigned military installation
• Position requires professionalism and consistent customer interaction
• Work may involve travel by vehicle or commercial flight
