Fire Alarm Division Field Supervisor

Job Description

Essential Job Functions:

• Assist Project Manager with project progression including labor planning, field installation, testing/inspections, etc.
• Ensure Installation teams adhere to provided timelines and deliverables.
• Ensure documentation is maintained throughout the length of the project.
• Provide technical support, guidance and expertise to installation teams.
• Recognize and manage risks proactively.
• Track change orders and assist in the timely resolution of all change orders, coordinating this process with other departments, managers and employees as required.
• Participate in weekly construction meetings as required.
• Understand and follow all codes and standards to ensure work is performed in compliance with all local, state and national requirements.
• Assist with solving issues that may arise during the project.
• Install, test and repair Alarm systems as needed.
• Program Alarm Systems as needed.
• Train new and existing technicians.
• Ensure Technicians and/or subcontractors understand the project scope in advance of the scheduled start date to plan, prepare and control the installation performed by technicians.
• Assist with Purchasing Agent for material orders as necessary.
• Ensure all safety protocols are being followed throughout the length of the project.

• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints/drawings.
• Five or more years of experience in Electrical/Fire Alarm System Installations.
• Proven success in a Commercial Construction setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NICET Certification
• Strong working knowledge of NFPA 72 and NFPA 70
• Strong working knowledge of fire alarm and electrical industry.
• Experience in Security Alarm System and Camera Installation/Services.
