Job DescriptionTITLE:Electrician Foreman
FLSA STATUS:Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of high school or equivalent and ten years of experience in the electrical trade, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Two years of supervisory experience required. Technical school training preferred. Basic or school electrician’s license required. Must have experience/training in high and low voltage controls and fire alarm essentials. Training/experience required in estimating and contract management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receives limited supervision.
Supervises the work of electricians and apprentices.
Provides leadership by planning and assigning work to crew members. Reviews work and makes corrections as needed.
Serves as the primary trainer for all electrical related activities. Instructs electricians and apprentices in the techniques and procedures employed in the trade.
Analyzes incoming repair work orders and assigns priority.
Evaluates job performance and quality of work.
Develops detailed estimate of materials and labor cost of each capital work order or project request.
Installs, maintains, alters and repairs wiring for power appliances, lighting and electrical circuits.
Maintains and repairs electric motors, generators and related mechanical equipment.
Adjusts and cleans electrical switches and control devices.
Possesses extensive knowledge of principles and practices of safe and efficient use of power tools and equipment.
Possesses considerable knowledge of the techniques, methods, tools and codes of the electrical trade.
Coordinates with the foremen of other trades to ensure efficient and appropriate completion of work.
Analyzes incoming corrective work orders, recommends and assigns priorities in conjunction with Maintenance Supervisor.
Develops detailed estimate of materials and labor costs of each approved work order based upon current data.
Schedules work for each crew to maximize productivity; spot checks to provide quality control.
Attends and successfully completes all training activities as required to improve ability and knowledge in performance of work duties.
Serves as team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, high expectations, being customer driven, and valuing fairness.
Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to demonstrate the following physical demands to safely and productively perform the essential functions of the Electrician positions.
This job requires constant material/tool handling, standing/walking on even and uneven grade and work from below grade to overhead; frequent pulling up to 125 lbs/force; and occasional pushing.
Must be able to lift/carry 25 lbs. constantly, 50 lbs. frequently and 120 lbs. occasionally.
Must be able to pull up to 120 lbs./force frequently.
Must be able to work in confined spaces requiring entry 24” x 24” crawl spaces occasionally.
Must be able to tolerate the above job demands on a regular schedule and as assigned.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Background check with local and state law enforcement agencies required.
Must possess a valid NC Driver’s License. Possesses ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License if required.
