DailyResponsibilities
- Facilitate placement of children into foster care, ensure suitable and well-considered
- matches between children and foster families.
- Provide clinical guidance, behavioral intervention and supervision to families in therapeutic foster care.
- Ensure families or parents offer a supportive, consistent, and stable home environment.
- Work collaboratively with qualified staff to address the educational and treatment needs of children placed in homes.
- Act as a supervisor and consultant to licensed therapeutic foster parents who implement therapeutic interventions for youth in care.
- Conduct hourly supervision weekly to assist with the care offered by foster parents.
- Evaluate foster parents ability to provide care, compile a thorough social history, conduct a comprehensive psychosocial assessment, develop an effective service or treatment plan, and ensure appropriate follow-up.
- Administer placement services in residential facilities, provide provisions for essential support, and targeted interventions in areas such as removal from environments involving neglect or abuse, assist with employment, vocational, medical, health, and behavioral concerns.
- Ensure that case files and documentation are maintained in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Assess callers with urgent and critical needs and expedites their connection to a clinician for prompt assistance.
- Perform other duties assigned. social work services to individuals and families
- Experience in social services or related field
- Knowledge of social work/mental health/cae management practices
- Strong understanding of mental health assessment and crisis intervention
- Ability to conduct home visits and provide care management
- 2 years post Bachelor's Degree in human service field experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience in juvenile justice or child welfare
- Training in trauma-informed care
- Ability to understand clinical assessments
- Minimum Salary: $42,000.00
- Maximum Salary: $48,000.00
