Hourly compensation ranges from $43.27 to $96.15, with full‑time, hourly employment.
This position combines forensic software development and reverse engineering. The successful candidate will conduct software reverse‑engineering activities using static and dynamic tools, provide support through application development, scripting, debugging, and additional software development expertise to a digital forensic lab, and maintain existing software while developing new solutions to customer specifications. Developers will be based in Fayetteville, NC, and may be required to deploy overseas to hazardous environments (OCONUS) on an as‑needed basis.
Applicants will be evaluated on both reverse‑engineering and software‑development skills; each applicant must be proficient in both domains.
Qualifications- U.S. citizen willing to obtain a clearance, with sponsorship available
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
- Willingness to deploy overseas to potentially hazardous areas
- Strong knowledge of assembly code (x86 and x64)
- Proficiency in at least one of C, C++, C#, Java, or Python
- Familiarity with both high‑level (e.g., Java) and low‑level (e.g., C/C++ or Assembly) programming languages
- Excellent customer‑service and communication skills; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication abilities for effective teamwork
- In‑depth experience in software reverse engineering and/or development
- Experience with static analysis tools such as IDA Pro and dynamic analysis tools, including debuggers
- Proficiency in IDA Pro development
- Experience reversing ARM architectures
- Proficiency in Android/Linux OS internals
- Familiarity with forensic software tools such as EnCase or FTK
- SANS certifications
- Experience with malware analysis
