Utility Driver- Mixer Truck, Flatbed, Dump, Quad, and Tanker

Purpose / General Description

The Utility Driver is responsible for operating a Concrete Mixer Truck, Flatbed, Dump, Tanker, and Quad in compliance with DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service by safely providing quality concrete and products to our customers. Perform all necessary cleaning and driver maintenance of the vehicles to ensure reliable and on-time operation.

• Operate Equipment Safely and in Compliance with All Regulations:
  Comply with DOT regulations including Pre-Trip, Post Trip and DVIR (Vehicle Inspection Reporting) requirements. Obey all traffic and safety rules.
• Maintain safety awareness: wear all PPE consistently, perform all tasks in a safe manner and ensure others always work safely. Bring awareness to issues and potential issues (near miss) as discovered.
• Deliver high-quality materials safely and on time. Ensure compliance with work instructions while driving a Mixer, Flatbed, Dump, Tanker, and Quad truck when needed.
• Perform Driver Maintenance

  Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and inspection reports (DVIR). Deliver high-quality materials safely and on time.
• Comply with all Data Reporting Requirements:
  Complete documents accurately and completely as required for internal records, customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Report on non-standard conditions.
• Perform Plant Maintenance

  Consistently perform maintenance on all Trucks and report issues.

• Safely operate concrete mixer, flatbed, Dump, and tanker trucks in compliance with DOT and company standards
• Operate concrete mixer trucks safely and efficiently to deliver ready-mix concrete to various job sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and ensure the vehicle is properly maintained.
• Safely load, mix, transport, and discharge concrete according to customer and job-site specifications.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers, and job-site personnel regarding deliveries and placement.
• Maintain accurate delivery tickets and required driving records.
• Clean and wash out mixer equipment after each delivery and maintain a clean, safe vehicle.
• Operate a truck-mounted Moffett forklift to safely load, transport, and unload construction materials.
• Deliver and put materials at residential, commercial, and construction job sites.
• Inspect and safely secure all loads prior to transportation.
• Operate equipment safely on uneven terrain, tight job sites, and in varying weather conditions.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Complete delivery paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Operate flatbed trucks and tractor-trailers to transport construction materials and other freight.
• Properly load, secure, tarp, and transport various types of cargo in accordance with DOT requirements.
• Use chains, straps, binders, and other approved load-securement equipment.
• Safely maneuver vehicles at construction sites, customer locations, and loading facilities.
• Verify load quantities, weights, dimensions, and delivery documentation.
• Maintain required logs and records and comply with hours-of-service regulations.
• Maintain a professional, safety-focused attitude while representing the company.
• Complete pre-trip, post-trip, and inspection reports (DVIR)
• 3-5 years Class A experience Driving
• Work closely with dispatch, plant teams, and quality personnel
• Maintain and clean your assigned truck
• Provide professional, reliable service to customers at every stop
• Vali NC CDL Class A license with NO RESTRICTIONS preferred
• Knowledge of load securement and willingness to train on all Class A Vehicles
• Clean driving record

• Ability to pass a criminal background and Clearinghouse checks
• Strong safety record and strong work ethic
• This role is hands-on and active. Drivers must be able to:
• Lift up to 75 lbs.
• Climb ladders and access truck equipment
• Sit, stand, and remain active for extended periods
• Bend, twist, reach, kneel, and crouch as needed
• Use hands and arms for vehicle operation and equipment handling
• Maintain awareness of surroundings, including sounds, movement, and visual details
