City of Fayetteville Public Services Department is recruiting for a Warehouse Coordinator for the Solid Waste Division to coordinate day‑to‑day operations of the parts and cart warehouse, including receipt, storage, issuance of parts, supplies, materials and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day operations and activities of the parts warehouse, including receipt, storage, issuance of parts, supplies and equipment, inventory management, basic ordering, and data inventory maintenance, as well as obtaining competitive quotes and preparing requisitions.
  • Maintain the warehouse in a clean, efficient, and organized manner; secure the warehouse and parts; perform other related activities.
  • Coordinate and monitor roll cart inventory, develop and maintain a cart tracking system, inventory carts, prepare monthly cart activity reports, and assist in loading and unloading roll carts and parts.
  • Coordinate and maintain assigned fuel depot, monitor automated fuel system usage, maintain fueling pumps and equipment, order fuel, schedule preventive maintenance, assist with cleaning, prepare for inspections, and perform other related activities.
  • Oversee and verify the stock, invoice and delivery of supplies, services and equipment; inspect purchased goods for compliance, verify shipments for quantity and quality, investigate vendor discrepancies, and ensure proper storage of surplus supplies.
  • Recommend and assist in implementing goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and assist in loading and unloading supplies.
  • Establish schedules and methods for providing services, identify resource needs, coordinate resource use accordingly.
  • Coordinate and participate in issuance of inventory and equipment; oversee stocking and replenishment of stored supplies.
  • Prepare requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices.
Experience & Training
  • Three years of increasingly responsible warehousing, supply, or purchasing work.
  • Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by specialized training or college coursework in purchasing, warehousing, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Licensing & Certifications

Required
:
Possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability.

Preferred
:
Forklift certification;
Basic Principles of Local Government Purchasing certification;
Inventory Control certification;
Warehouse Principles certification;
Computer certification.

From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last approximately 4–6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview with the selected candidate being subject to a pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and driving history check.
