As a Construction Crew Member, you’ll work closely with the Construction Supervisor and volunteer teams to support all phases of the homebuilding process.

This hands-on role offers valuable experience in residential construction while building skills in teamwork, communication, and project coordination. You’ll contribute directly to Habitat for Humanity–Spokane’s mission by helping construct safe, affordable homes for families across Spokane County. A strong commitment to reliability, safety, and collaboration is essential for success in this role.

• Previous trade or construction experience (preferred).
• Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills — kind, patient, and able to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and empathy.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Availability to work Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM.

• Transportation to and from the job site (if needed).
• High-impact projects that directly benefit the families we serve.

• Perform hands-on construction tasks for new builds and rehabs (demolition, framing, roofing, etc.).
• Set up and clean up project sites; manage materials and tools.
• Maintain accurate site logs, timecards, and documentation.
• Lead small groups of volunteers, ensuring safety and positive engagement.
• Provide orientations and safety talks for volunteers and families.
• Collaborate with staff to identify and engage skilled volunteers.
• Promote and model safe work practices in alignment with Habitat safety
• Participate in training and service events with the Spokane Service Team.
