A well-established healthcare system in beautiful Bellingham, Washington is seeking a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist for a locum tenens opportunity. This position offers a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care, including clinic, endoscopy, and hospital coverage.
The ideal candidate will have strong advanced endoscopy skills, including ERCP, and be comfortable managing both consultative and procedural gastroenterology cases.
Practice Details- Adult patient population (18+)
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
- Clinic, hospital, and endoscopy center coverage
- Average Clinic Volume: 16 patients/day
- Endoscopy Center: 14–16 procedures/day
- Hospital census varies
- Collaborative GI team with dedicated support staff
- EMR:
Epic
- ERCP (Required)
- General Gastroenterology procedures
- Day shifts (approximately 8–9 hours)
- Weekday and weekend coverage
- 24-hour call required
- Hospitalist and call coverage included
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- Active Washington License or IMLC eligibility (facility willing to license)
- ACLS Certification
- Epic EMR experience
- Recent ERCP experience with documentation
- Applicants must provide recent case logs meeting facility privileging requirements
