Hours* 6.5 hrs/day through the end of the 25/26 school year
Salary Schedule KAP Salary Schedule
Step placement based on verified years of experience in an educational unit.
Salary is annualized and spread through August.

Para educator Requirements:
Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for para educators in the State of Washington through one of the following means:
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 72 college level credits from an accredited institution
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS Para Pro Assessment and proof of high school completion or equivalent.
- If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications and are willing to take the Para Pro Assessment, you can still apply. If you are the chosen finalist candidate you will have the opportunity to take the test prior to being formally hired into the role.
Post Hire Requirements: Upon hire, para educators will be required to complete state required training offered through our KSD Professional Development Team.
