Academic Interventionist – Nine Mile Falls
This Ameri Corps/Washington Service Corps national service position is contingent on funding and open until filled. Nine Mile Falls is a picturesque small town just north of Spokane, WA. The role focuses on providing individual academic support, tutoring, mentoring, essential skill development, and more. The member will serve on a team designed to provide wrap‑around supports. Success will be measured by academic achievement in testing, grades, and credits earned.
Rolling review of applications and interviews will begin in early June. Monthly stipend: $2,571.
- Tutor students in one‑on‑one and small group settings
- Collaborate with school‑based academic intervention teams
- Provide support in classroom settings
- Help students develop organizational skills
- Collect student achievement data and track student progress
- Assist with family and community involvement events
- Education award upon successful completion of service
- Training
