The Event Manager / Client Liaison is a contract, on-site role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area. This role coordinates and oversees puppy experience from arrival to breakdown, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, venue staff, rescue partners, and puppy coaches. Day-to-day responsibilities include confirming event details, managing schedules, overseeing setup and safety protocols, and ensuring a smooth guest experience throughout each event.
The Event Manager / Client Liaison will handle on-site troubleshooting, communicate client feedback to the team, and maintain professional relationships that support repeat and referral business. This role requires reliable transportation, comfort working in dynamic event environments, and a strong focus on both client satisfaction and animal well-being.
- Event coordination and on-site operations skills, including scheduling, vendor coordination, and managing event flow.
- Client liaison and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, set expectations, and respond promptly to questions and concerns.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple events, handle unexpected issues, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Professionalism and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with clients, venue staff, rescue partners, and team members.
- Comfort working around puppies, with a commitment to humane handling and safety guidelines for puppies and guests.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift light equipment during events, and to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, customer service, or nonprofit/animal rescue settings is beneficial.
- Reliable transportation (SUV) to event locations in the Washington DC–Baltimore Area and access to a mobile phone for on-site coordination.
