The Payroll Support is responsible for the accurate, timely, and efficient processing of payroll while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. This role supports payroll administration, reporting, audits, and related financial processes. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while collaborating effectively with managers and employees.

Payroll Administration- Process payroll accurately and timely in compliance with federal, state, and multi-state regulations.
- Verify employee time records, leave balances, overtime, and payroll deductions prior to payroll processing.
- Review and resolve payroll discrepancies, including missed punches and timekeeping errors, in coordination with Client Care Managers and department leaders.
- Monitor, audit, and reconcile paid time off (PTO) balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain payroll records, files, tax forms, wage documentation, and supporting records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Generate payroll reports, audit reports, and related financial information for management review.
- Stay informed of changes in payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor requirements to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to increase payroll efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
- Provide guidance and training to staff regarding payroll procedures and best practices.
- Support Accounts Receivable and other finance-related functions as needed.
- Participate in company meetings, training programs, workshops, and continuing education opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 2–3 years of relevant experience;
Bachelor's Degree preferred. - Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Minimum of two (2) years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment.
- Experience processing garnishments, tax with holdings, and payroll compliance requirements preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll best practices.
- Intermediate mathematical skills, including calculations, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, One Note, One Drive, and SharePoint.
- Ability to learn and utilize payroll, HRIS, and financial software systems.
Physical Requirements
Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced office environment with exposure to moderate noise levels and typical office conditions.
Physical Requirements- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, use hands and fingers, speak, and hear regularly throughout the workday.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and operate standard office equipment.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 20 pounds regularly.
- Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds while following established safety procedures.
- Ability to maintain close visual acuity for computer work and document review.
- Standard office hours are Monday through Friday.
