Be one of the first clinical staff our clients see. As a Medical Assistant, you'll run the full physical health screening process for your care team, support medication and injection appointments, and help close the loop between clients, providers, and their broader care team.

• Complete full medical screening for every client
• Draw labs per standing orders and assist with injection appointments, including long-acting injectables (LAI)
• Flag results for RN review and support care coordination for PCP appointments
• Conduct patient outreach including no-show follow-up, appointment reminders, and check-ins for clients not seen in 90 days
• Support your provider and multi-disciplinary teams, including the potential for cross site support.
• Build collaborative and meaningful relationships with clients facing substance use disorder and psychiatric disorders.

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Current Medical Assistant certification and current CPR/BLS certification
• Phlebotomy certification, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire

• Prior experience in a behavioral health or community health setting

• A role built on real relationships, not just paperwork.
• Work as an integral part of a defined care team, with a clear clinical partner in your multidisciplinary team, including RN and Psychiatric Provider teammates.
• Build a foundation for a future in nursing, phlebotomy, or clinical leadership
• Play a front-line role in Valley Cities' CCBHC screening standards: the daily screenings you run keep the agency's physical health integration goals on track
