Park Services / Grounds Team Members are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of park walkways, trash receptacles, parking areas, and back‑of‑house spaces. This role helps ensure the park remains clean, sanitary, and visually appealing for guests while supporting a positive guest experience throughout daily operations and special events.

Team Members in this position are expected to provide friendly, professional service while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Skills, Requirements & Qualifications

Ability to work independently while multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities

Strong communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management

Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Must be at least 16 years of age

General

Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Service

Provide friendly, helpful, and professional service to guests

Follow all guest service standards and code of conduct guidelines outlined in the Team Member Handbook

Safety

Support Wild Waves’ safety‑first culture by maintaining a safe work environment and identifying potential hazards

Teamwork

Work collaboratively with fellow team members and leadership toward shared park goals

Maintain cleanliness throughout the park using approved tools, equipment, and cleaning supplies

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

General Park Cleanliness: Sweep walkways, wipe down tables and chairs, remove trash, replace trash liners, and pressure wash facilities and attraction areas as assigned

Parking Lot Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of parking lots, drive lanes, walkways, and parking lot restrooms; empty trash receptacles

Special Events Support: Maintain cleanliness of picnic areas and event spaces during special events

Neighborhood Support: Assist with signage placement and cleanup in surrounding areas impacted by park guests, including 369th Street and 19th Street

Back‑of‑House Areas: Maintain cleanliness and organization of Park Services storage areas and support spaces

Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned based on department and park needs

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This position is primarily outdoors and requires working in varied weather conditions
, including heat, rain, wind, and cooler temperatures

Extensive walking throughout the park and surrounding areas, including hills, stairs, uneven terrain, and occasionally slippery surfaces

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching

Occasional climbing or balancing

Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently

Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Noise levels may range from moderate to high

Reasonable accommodations may be provided to support team members in performing the essential functions of this position.
