About the role Lightfeather is looking for a GCP Cloud Engineer to be instrumental in the design, execution, and upkeep of cloud infrastructure solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This position demands a strong background in automating infrastructure, ensuring cloud security, managing networking, and developing CI/CD pipelines. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams to enhance cloud efficiency and automation within a secure government setting.

• Compensation: $120,000-$140,000

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions on GCP.
• Automate infrastructure management and deployment processes.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with teams to optimize cloud resources and performance.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Cloud Formation.
• Experience in cloud security practices and networking concepts.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Git Lab CI.

• Experience working in a government or highly regulated environment.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Stackdriver or Prometheus.
