What you'll do
  • Lead and manage logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to streamline processes and resolve any logistical issues that may arise.
  • Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess inventory.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that materials and products are sourced efficiently and meet quality standards.
  • Train and mentor logistics staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Prepare and present reports on logistics performance to senior management, highlighting key achievements and areas for growth.
  • Manage transportation logistics, including route planning and carrier selection, to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, maintaining a safe and efficient logistics environment.
  • Utilize logistics software and tools to enhance tracking, reporting, and overall operational visibility.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall supply chain performance and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with a proven track record of leadership.
  • Strong understanding of logistics processes, inventory management, and transportation operations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in logistics software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Nice to have
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement.
  • Familiarity with international logistics and customs regulations.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CLTD, or similar).
  • Experience with advanced logistics technologies, such as TMS or WMS systems.
