9/80 Schedule – Every Other Friday Off Put Your Logistics Engineering Expertise to Work on Mission-Critical Programs
We’re looking for a Logistics Engineering Specialist to support a growing aerospace and defense product portfolio in Sterling, Virginia.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented logistics professional who enjoys solving complex supply and asset-management challenges and wants to contribute directly to system availability, operational readiness, and lifecycle cost reduction.
You’ll work closely with program leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure equipment, materials, and assets are where they need to be — when they need to be there.
What You’ll Do- Support Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T) activities to improve system availability and reduce lifecycle costs
- Partner daily with PHS&T and Integrated Product Team leadership
- Conduct asset and equipment audits for customer- and company-owned property
- Track availability and usability of packing materials
- Process, monitor, and close out shipments between customer sites, depots, and OEMs
- Track movement of supplies from stockrooms to field operations
- Support depot operations and logistics activities
- Develop and improve strategies for tracking program assets and spare parts
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency and reduce delays/errors
- Maintain accurate records and ensure strong asset accountability
- Communicate logistics status, issues, and requirements to program stakeholders
- Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to day-to-day logistics challenges
- Bachelor’s degree + 4 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong background in logistics engineering, asset management, supply support, or related areas
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly — REQUIRED
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
- Sunflower EAM experience
- Microsoft Office / strong computer proficiency
- Experience managing equipment, spares, shipments, or customer assets
You’ll be working on mission-critical aerospace and defense programs where effective logistics directly impacts operational readiness.

- $120,000–$142,000 salary range
