The group’s main business is the implementation of mission critical digital mobile communication systems for Government & Public Safety Communications customers.

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to be the recognized leader for all aspects of assigned mission‑critical communication system projects. This role is responsible for the successful, on‑time, and on‑budget implementation and delivery of the contractual scope, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

Basic Requirements Bachelors Degree AND 4+ years of experience in Project Management OR 6+ years experience in one of the following:
Project Management, LMR, RF Systems, Radio Frequency, Radio Communications, Wired/Wireless Communication Systems, IT, Motorola, Military experience, or Public Safety experience. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.

Serve as the focal point and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver new or upgraded products/services from inception to completion (or transition). Ensure all projects adhere to accepted quality metrics, deadlines, and budget constraints. Oversee the overall pre‑tax profit and ensure proper management of the three constraints: quality, cost, and time. Direct and coordinate the work activities of the project team, ensuring optimal performance and motivation.

Lead large programs or portions of very complex programs. Accountable for accomplishing stated project objectives within the stipulated time and budget.

Develop the complete project plan, set deliverable dates, and track progress. Utilize standard Project Management tools (schedule, critical path analysis, budget, change order, risk assessment, action item log, etc.) to analyze complex issues and develop effective resolutions. Establish, track, and audit project budgets, analyze variances, and develop required action plans. Coordinate internal resources (System Technologists, Field Service, Service Shop) and third parties/vendors for flawless project execution.

Work with the Scheduling and Engineering Management teams to ensure resource availability and allocation. Manage and communicate changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, reporting and escalating to management as needed.

Serve as the primary communicator to the customer’s organization and relevant internal senior stakeholders.
