Job Description
The Mohawk Mountain Snow sports Director will represent the Snow sports Discovery Center (SDC) to customers and employees and will provide the highest possible customer service. They will be responsible for day to day supervising of the Snow sports Discovery Center and will provide support for SDC staff. The Snow sports Director will ensure the continuing training of SDC staff. They will provide leadership and direction for the SDC, with the goal of providing the best possible learning environment for clients and their families.
Reports directly to Senior Management and liaises with Snow sports Customer Service Director, Mountain Operations Manager, Ski Patrol and other departments as necessary. The Director of Snow sports will design and execute aggressive staff recruitment campaigns, as well as continually promote the educational offerings of the SDC to Mohawk Mountain's customer base. This includes developing innovative new programming while supporting and improving existing programs.
The Director will play a key role in the Mohawk Mountain Management Team and must work well with others.

- Determines staff assignments and schedules
- Provides communications with staff and customers as necessary
- Provides supervisory roles for children's programs and other areas as needed
- Develops program goals
- Develops training goals and strategies to help develop instructing staff
- Ensures the quality of instruction and uses all available resources to promote the continued education of the teaching staff
- Other duties as assigned
This position is offered as Full-Time or Part-Time seasonal (from roughly mid August to late April, as weather allows).

Requirements- Superior organizational and communication skills
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Minimum PSIA/AASI L3 or equivalent preferred
- Experience working with and training staff preferred
- Race course setting and or USSA experience
- Experience with ALGE timing equipment and Split Second Software
- Able to quickly learn and become proficient in using multiple computer softwares
- USSS L100 preferred
- Must be available to be on site from approximately October-March
- Must be available weekends and holidays throughout the season
- Must be able to lift and ski or snowboard with 50lbs of equipment
- Must be able to work outside in all conditions for long periods of time
- Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by Senior Management
