We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Concrete Batch Plant Operator to join our team. What you’ll do:- Review mix designs for daily production verifying quantities of R/M materials.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
- Receive and inspect R/M material deliveries for accuracy/quality.
- Keep required records and logs.
- Oversee the cleaning of the ready-mix plant each day.
- Monitor inventories in the plant (cements, aggregates, admixtures, fiber, etc.).
- Thorough working knowledge of Command Alkon batching system.
- Define problems, collect data and communicate with management.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 4+ years’ experience in the concrete business including 2+ years’ experience operating and maintaining a ready-mix batch plant.
- A self-starter who can
1) work independently, diligently and responsibly with minimal supervision
2) work as a member of a team
3) manage their time wisely
4) multi-task
5) communicate effectively with all team members. - Have basic mechanical working knowledge of a ready-mix plant to perform minor repairs on the equipment and then report larger repairs to the appropriate parties.
- Be physically capable of performing job tasks including safely lifting equipment.
- Strong work ethic, the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, 10-key and basic math skills.
- Honest, responsible and trustworthy with confidential information.
- The ability to represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
- $38.00 – $43.00 per hour
