Job Description

CNC Machinist / CNC Set-Up Operator – 1st Shift

Pay: $25–$30/hour

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist / CNC Set-Up Operator for a 1st shift opportunity in a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes, inspecting parts to specification, and supporting quality, safety, and production goals.

• Program equipment to produce parts to required specifications.
• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines.
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow safety rules and report unsafe conditions promptly.
• Help minimize scrap and rework while supporting production and delivery goals.

• CNC setup and operating experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals
• Working knowledge of CNC editing and/or programming in G-code.
• Experience with CNC lathes using FANUC and/or HAAS controls.
• Strong inspection skills using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparators, and other measuring tools.
• Technical school training, related machining experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality.

• Air conditioned shop
• Loud manufacturing environment with regular work near moving mechanical parts.
• Role requires standing for most of the shift, regular walking, loading/unloading parts, and close visual inspection work.
