The Arc of Spokane is the region's go-to organization for advocacy and support of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Community Inclusion program promotes independence and inclusion for its participants and is currently hiring for a Community Inclusion Specialist. Community Inclusion Specialists enjoy flexible schedules and working in a fun and creative environment. CI Specialistsprovide one-one-one support to individuals and help participants actively engage with the Spokane community in order to expand their social connections and build meaningful relationships.
The ideal candidate will be creative and comfortable working one-on-one with participants out in the community, and have skills in researching, planning, and problem solving.
Through identifying our participants' interests and the skillset that they canoffer their community, you will be able to support them in getting involved with activities like:
- Volunteer work around the community (food banks, local events, animals, etc.)
- Concertsand dances
- Craftsand interest-based clubs
- Religiousgroups and events
- Community and neighborhood events and festivals and much, much more.

Requirements:
Minimum Age of 18 years
High School Diploma or GED
Driver'slicense
Reliable transportation
Clean3-year driving record
Ableto pass required background check

Compensation: $19.00 per hour, Non-exempt, Full-time 40hours per week. Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 13 Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance andPaid Time Off (PTO) after eligibility period.
* All pay isbased on longevity at The Arc of Spokane; thus,
the starting pay forthis position is $19.00 per hour.
