Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to students in a school-based health setting, including 1:1 support as assigned
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policy; document administration accordingly
  • Assess and document vital signs, monitor changes in student health status, and implement basic nursing interventions within scope of practice
  • Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, manage acute illnesses or injuries, and coordinate with appropriate school personnel and district health services
  • Maintain accurate health records, ensure confidentiality, and communicate effectively with school staff, families, and medical providers as required
Requirements
  • Active LPN license in Washington state
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Ability to work in a school health environment and interact professionally with students, families, and school staff
  • Experience in long-term care or pediatric health settings is preferred
  • Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills
  • Ability to pass background checks and health clearances required for school placement
