Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Night Shift

Role Overview

Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, ensuring professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by team members. Coordinate patient care across departments, uphold patient rights and confidentiality, and perform duties aligned with organizational standards and values.

Provide comprehensive nursing care in a Med/Surg unit, caring for diverse patient conditions such as GI, Oncology, Post-Op, COPD, Pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, and wound care. Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 with support from Patient Care Associates. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care and patient safety.

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
• Certifications:
  
  ACLS, BLS (or within 30 days), and unit-specific as required
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, and perform bending or twisting tasks
• Strong teamwork, accountability, and communication skills

Perform assessments, develop and implement care plans, evaluate patient responses, and maintain documentation. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality are protected, and support a positive team environment focused on safety and quality.
