The senior accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity, transparency, and compliance of our organization across senior living communities and services. This position is responsible for complex accounting functions, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance, supporting decision-making that directly impacts operational sustainability and resident care. The Senior Accountant partners closely with finance leadership, operations, and clinical teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and adherence to healthcare regulatory requirements.

Essential functions of this position include the following.

• Assist with monthly, quarterly & annual close processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaid, and other accounting adjustments
• Review monthly bank reconciliations and cash activity across multiple accounts and entities
• Produce accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Ensure integrity of general ledger and supporting documentation
• Participate in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives

• Ensure compliance with Washington State healthcare and senior living regulations (e.g., Medicaid/Medicare reporting where applicable)
• Support cost reporting and audits related to long-term care and assisted living
• Maintain documentation to support DOH/DSHS audits and financial reviews
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and responses
