Are you ready for your next career challenge in Sales, and have a passion for the Pulp & Paper industry? We are currently looking for a Mill Sales Manager to clearly understand the needs and concerns of our customers.
In this position, you will play a key role in building and maintaining solid working relationships with customers and our internal Valmet network. You will promote Valmet solutions for our customers covering a territory within the Western part of the United States – Oregon, Washington. As the key point of contact for regional clients, building and maintaining relationships while confidently understanding the customers' needs will be a strong priority.
With your technology background within the Pulp & Paper industry, and understanding of customer needs, you will successfully convert our customers' needs into effective solutions for all aspects of their process.
Responsibilities- Lead in developing and executing sales plans to improve customer’s processes and to increase competitiveness.
- Collect and document customer feedback, call reports, and learnings to help improve future Valmet Service, solutions, and agreements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regional clients, confidently addressing their needs and maintaining solid working relationships.
- Strong technology/pulp process background in the Pulp Industry.
- Approximately 8 - 10 years related experience in various positions in technical sales, production, process development, R&D or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Willingness to travel approximately 75% of the time.
- Experience in communication and commercial discussions.
- Strong experience of Customer Value Chain.
- Solid team working, finding the right internal resources.
- Communication/presentation skills, ability to persuade and influence both internal and external key stakeholders.
- Ability and skills to work in a matrix organization and influence people without having direct line organization reports.
- Salary range: $116,000 – $154,000 per year, commensurate with market data, internal equity, and candidate credentials.

- Territory:
Western United States – Oregon and Washington. - Directly report to the Regional Manager, North and be a member of the regional Mill Sales Team.
- Relocation eligible; authorization to work in the United States is highly preferred.
- Requires approximately 75% travel.
