Security Guard, Event Staff/ Venue Crew
Security Team Members are responsible for helping maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests and team members. This role includes performing bag checks, monitoring entrances and exits, assisting with lost children or items, patrolling parking areas, and supporting park operations during daily activities and special events.
Security Team Members are expected to provide prompt, friendly, and professional service while enforcing park policies and safety procedures.
Skills, Requirements & QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older
Prior security or related experience preferred
Strong communication and guest service skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests, coworkers, and management
GeneralDuties & Responsibilities
Guest Service
Provide friendly, helpful, and professional service to guests
Follow all guest service standards and code of conduct guidelines outlined in the Team Member Handbook
Safety
Support Wild Waves’ safety-first culture by promoting a safe work environment and helping identify and address safety concerns
Teamwork
Work collaboratively with fellow team members and leadership to support park operations
Help maintain a clean and sanitary environment for guests and team members
Perform light cleaning duties as needed, including picking up debris and using approved cleaning tools and supplies
Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesBag Checks: Greet guests and inspect bags to ensure prohibited items, outside food, or beverages do not enter the park
Employee Gate: Greet employees and perform bag and time slip checks
Guest Incidents: Assist the Security Manager and FWPD with incidents involving theft, ticket scalping, lost items, or guest conflicts while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
Lost Children: Respond promptly to reports of lost children and assist with safely reuniting them with their party
Parking Lot Patrol: Conduct regular patrols of guest and employee parking lots and respond to incidents as appropriate
Re-Entry & Gate Monitoring: Monitor designated entrances and exits, including re-entry gates
Closing Procedures: Assist with clearing and securing the park at the end of the operating day
Documentation: Complete incident reports accurately and submit documentation to the Security Manager in a timely manner
EAP Duties: Maintain knowledge of Emergency Action Procedures and respond appropriately when required
Special Events: Provide security support for special events, seasonal operations, and holiday promotions
Confidential Information: Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned based on department and park needs
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and kneeling
Occasional climbing or balancing
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds frequently
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work is primarily outdoors and subject to varying weather conditions
Noise levels may range from moderate to high
