Night Security Team Members are responsible for maintaining safety and security throughout the park during overnight hours. This role includes securing park facilities at the end of the operating day, monitoring park property, responding to incidents, and providing professional guest service when interacting with guests, employees, or vendors during nighttime operations.
This position plays a critical role in protecting park assets, ensuring safety, and supporting overnight and early-morning operations.
Skills, Requirements & QualificationsMust be 18 years of age or older
Must be available to work overnight shifts between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM
Prior security or overnight patrol experience preferred
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Strong communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management
Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
GeneralDuties & Responsibilities
Guest Service
Provide courteous, professional, and helpful service to guests and employees
Follow all guest service standards and code of conduct guidelines outlined in the Team Member Handbook
Safety
Support Wild Waves’ safety-first culture by maintaining a secure environment and identifying potential hazards
Teamwork
Work collaboratively with fellow Security team members, Dispatch, and leadership
Maintain clean and organized security work areas and patrol locations
Specific Duties & ResponsibilitiesGuest Incidents: Assist the Security Manager and Federal Way Police Department with incidents involving theft, ticket violations, lost items, or guest conflicts while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
Lost Children: Respond promptly to reports of lost children and assist with reunification following park procedures
Parking Lot Patrols: Conduct routine patrols of guest and employee parking lots to ensure safety and respond to incidents
Closing Procedures: Assist with clearing, securing, and locking down the park at the end of the operating day
Overnight Patrols: Patrol the park during nighttime hours, both on foot and by vehicle
, to monitor for safety, security, and property protection
Documentation: Complete accurate and timely incident reports and submit documentation to the Security Manager
Emergency Procedures: Follow Emergency Action Procedures (EAP) and respond appropriately to emergencies
Special Events: Provide overnight security support for special events and holiday promotions
Confidential Information: Appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information
Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned based on department and park needs
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
Occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds frequently
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work is primarily outdoors and requires exposure to varying weather conditions
Noise levels may range from moderate to high
Overnight work includes extensive patrols throughout the park
