The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security team within Wild Waves Theme & Water Park. This role ensures the safety of all guests and employees by maintaining a vigilant security presence, enforcing park policies, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have experience in security with strong leadership skills to manage the park’s security personnel.
This position plays a critical role in protecting park assets, ensuring safety, and supporting park operations.
Skills, Requirements & QualificationsMust be 21 years of age or older
Prior security experience preferred (law enforcement, security management, or related fields)
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis management skills
Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and calm
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to maintain clear and detailed reports
Valid driver's license required
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead the Security Team
Ensure compliance with all park safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations
Monitor security operations, including patrolling the park, overseeing entrance and exit security procedures, and responding to guest concerns
Implement and maintain emergency response plans in collaboration with local law enforcement and park leadership
Conduct training for security personnel, including crisis management, de-escalation techniques, and emergency response protocols
Investigate incidents involving safety concerns or security breaches, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up
Assist in staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for the Security Team
Work closely with park leadership to assess and mitigate safety risks throughout the park
Maintain all safety and security equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and readily available
Conduct regular safety inspections of park facilities to identify and address potential hazards
Responsible for following and enforcing Washington State labor laws, park policies, and employee break policies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency
Other duties as assigned by park leadership
Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentAbility to stand and walk for extended periods
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
Occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 30 pounds frequently
Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work is primarily outdoors and requires exposure to varying weather conditions
Noise levels may range from moderate to high
Work includes extensive patrols throughout the park
