Project Manager – Control System Integration Practice

As a Project Manager at BW Design Group, you will work with industry experts to deliver high‑quality automation solutions for our customers in the food & beverage, life sciences, industrial, and advanced technology sectors. You will support capital projects and implement solutions that help clients improve performance and achieve critical goals.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute project tasks including hardware and panel design, PLC and HMI programming, SCADA design, power distribution design, and related documentation.
  • Prepare proposals, conduct estimating, schedule resources, staff teams, negotiate contracts, process orders, and perform quality control to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Build and maintain a book of business, actively pursue new opportunities, and expand relationships with existing clients.
  • Lead business‑development initiatives to identify and close new projects, and grow the controls & automation business locally and regionally.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key client contacts; mentor and guide professionals, providing feedback, training, and career development.
  • Participate in councils that adopt firm‑wide standards and provide quarterly reporting to office and regional partners.
  • Coordinate with finance to ensure accurate reporting of controls & automation group activities and support a positive corporate image in line with guiding principles of leadership.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience developing and delivering automation solutions for consumer products or industrial design industries.
  • Proven experience designing electrical control systems and programming automation for process applications.
  • Proficiency with Rockwell hardware and software; familiarity with Siemens, Wonderware, and GE solutions is preferred.
  • Experience in food & beverage, pulp & paper, or other industrial sectors is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and client‑management skills; ability to engage with all levels of management, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel for installations, start‑ups, client meetings, training, series, forums, and conventions.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred but other engineering degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
Compensation and Benefits

Approximate pay range: $120,000‑$150,000. Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
