Job SummaryHome Study & Post Release Services offers case management for unaccompanied immigrant children and youth released from federal custody. The Clinical Case Manager supports family stabilization, equips families with resources, and fosters independence over a six‑month case cycle with frequent in‑person visits and ongoing assessment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide weekly home visits during the first two months and monthly visits thereafter to stabilize families.
- Assess safety, placement suitability, and sponsor fitness for caregiving.
- Conduct age‑appropriate assessments to meet basic needs and provide tools and resources for community integration.
- Ongoing case management and assessment across placement, safety, education, health, mental health, immigration, substance use, independent living, juvenile justice, and enrichment activities.
- Deliver trauma‑informed crisis interventions or connect families to third‑party services as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of the Morrison Compliance Program, complete related training, and honor the Compliance Standards of Conduct.
- Apply the Sanctuary model and other agency policies in all client interactions.
- Participate in staff development, in‑services, and training to improve workplace effectiveness and trauma‑informed care.
- Clear communication in English and Spanish, oral and written.
- Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws.
- Ability to administer policies, procedures, and programs.
- Critical thinking and explanation of concepts to others.
- Effective working relationships with agency employees and the public.
- Resolve moderately complex problems.
- Hold personal and organizational accountability.
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related behavioral science with direct clinical experience as a program requirement.
- OR Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of clinical experience.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure.
- Bi‑lingual in Spanish and English, both written and verbal; must pass a language proficiency test for Spanish.
- Experience working with immigrant populations.
- Must be 21 years or older by first day of employment.
- Knowledge of family preservation, kinship care, and child welfare.
- Experience writing professional, thorough assessment reports.
- Experience with ORR reporting and compliance.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and agency regulations.
- Understanding of adolescent development, trauma, abuse, substance use, delinquency, peer influence, and related interventions.
- Pass a criminal history background check and a suitability determination investigation through the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. (Information: https://(Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).)
- Regular travel via airplane and/or car to visit sponsors and clients; 50% of time may involve national travel.
- Hold a valid driver's license and maintain minimum auto insurance for a personal vehicle.
