Where will you be working?Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields.
What will you be doing?- Assisting with excavation works, including digging trenches and preparing ground for construction activities
- Supporting the installation of ducts, cable routes and foundations for substations and associated infrastructure
- Laying concrete, back filling trenches and reinstating ground surfaces to required standards
- Operating hand tools and small plant equipment under supervision
- Setting out work areas, marking levels and ensuring accurate measurements
- Supporting civil construction tasks such as shuttering, formwork and basic brickwork
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment in line with safety procedures
- Working alongside experienced ground workers, civil teams and electrical colleagues to learn all aspects of substation construction
- Following instructions, safety briefings and method statements to ensure safe working practices
- Full driving licence and own car required
- GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A–F or 2–9)
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Must live within the application area
- Must be able to obtain a full airside pass
- Drug and alcohol testing may be required as part of induction
- Background checks will be conducted as part of the hiring process
