About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Automotive Wholesale Title Clerk to join our dealership team. This position plays a critical role in processing wholesale vehicle titles, handling dealer-to-dealer paperwork, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

As a federally registered vehicle importer, our dealership also imports vehicles from Canada into the United States. This role will include processing Canadian ownership documents, maintaining import compliance records, and assisting with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and tracking requirements.

The ideal candidate is dependable, process-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced automotive environment with high attention to accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Process wholesale vehicle title paperwork accurately and efficiently
  • Verify titles, lien releases, and ownership documents for completeness and compliance
  • Handle dealer trades, auction purchases, and wholesale transactions
  • Process Canadian ownership documents for imported vehicles
  • Maintain organized importation and compliance records for the Department of Transportation  related federal agencies
  • Assist with federal import documentation and vehicle entry paperwork
  • Track title status and follow up on missing or delayed documents
  • Submit paperwork to the Secretary of State/DMV as needed
  • Communicate with auctions, dealerships, banks, transport companies, and customers regarding title and ownership issues
  • Maintain accurate inventory and vehicle documentation records
  • Support accounting and management teams with vehicle processing and compliance documentation
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with dealership, state, and federal regulations
Qualifications
  • Previous automotive dealership title clerk experience preferred
  • Wholesale or auction processing experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with Canadian vehicle ownership paperwork and import procedures preferred
  • Knowledge of Michigan title and registration procedures
  • Experience with Dealer track DMS or dealership management systems preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and follow-up abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented mindset
