Facility Manager – Specialized Adult Foster Care Homes

In-Person | Full-Time | Primarily Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Occasional evenings and weekends as required

We are seeking an accomplished, empathetic leader to serve as Facility Manager—someone who brings proven expertise in operational leadership and a genuine commitment to elevating the quality of life for vulnerable individuals and their families.

Opportunity

As Facility Manager, you will serve as the primary leader of one or more specialized adult foster care homes. You will drive operational excellence, foster a high-performing team, ensure rigorous regulatory compliance, and partner closely with residents, families, clinical teams, and external stakeholders to support individualized goals and promote meaningful, community-integrated lives.

Core Leadership Responsibilities
  • Provide direct supervision, mentorship, and professional development to residential support staff, cultivating a collaborative and accountable team culture
  • Oversee daily operations, including strategic staff scheduling, resource allocation, and facility maintenance to uphold the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and resident comfort
  • Ensure full compliance with Michigan licensing regulations, HCBS standards, and organizational policies across all program areas
  • Collaborate interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement person-centered plans that advance residents' personal, social, and therapeutic objectives
  • Manage financial responsibilities, including petty cash, resident funds, and accurate record-keeping
  • Oversee medication administration protocols, health coordination, transportation logistics, and documentation integrity
  • Serve as the primary liaison with families, healthcare providers, regulatory agencies, and community partners, building trust through clear, professional communication
  • Participate in the on-call rotation to provide leadership support and crisis response as needed
Professional Qualifications We Seek
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, social sciences, healthcare administration, or a closely related field (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or human services settings
  • Demonstrated supervisory/management experience, with a track record of building and leading effective teams
  • Current approval/eligibility for specialized adult foster care (AFC) programs under Michigan regulatory authorities
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and strategic leadership abilities
  • Valid Michigan driver's license, Social Security card, and high school diploma (minimum requirements)
  • Strong working knowledge of supports for individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or autism spectrum disorders
  • Ability to successfully complete comprehensive background checks, required trainings, and TB screenings
