Job Description & How to Apply Below

Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for Materials Manager

Position Overview

We are actively seeking a Materials Manager for one of ourfast-growing manufacturers, serving the automotive, aerospace, construction, fabrication, and data-center markets. This client produces low-volume, high-mix wiring systems, cooling/HVAC assemblies, and racking solutions.

The Materials Manager oversees materials planning, inventory management, supplier coordination, logistics, and capacity planning across the client’s manufacturing sites. This role ensures timely material availability, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation while supporting decisions on where products should be manufactured. The Materials Manager will strengthen our materials processes and help drive operational agility as we scale across multiple locations.

We’re looking for a hands-on, agile Materials Manager who thrives in a self-starter environment and can help scale our multi-site operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead materials planning, scheduling, and inventory management for a high-mix product portfolio.
  • Drive capacity planning and help determine where products should be manufactured across sites (Fenton and others).
  • Manage heavy inventory planning, safety stock levels, and ERP/MRP data accuracy.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Engineering, and Production to support sourcing, NPI, and build readiness.
  • Coordinate supplier performance and material flow for wiring, cooling, HVAC, fabricated components, and racking systems.
  • Improve material processes and support rapid scaling in a dynamic, growing operation.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–10+ years in Materials Management, Supply Chain, or Production Planning.
  • Experience in aerospace, construction, fabrication, automotive, or CPG/startup environments.
  • Proven ability to manage low-volume, high-mix production.
  • Strong ERP/MRP background and analytical skills.
  • Self-starter who can operate with agility and make fast, data-driven decisions.
