Position

Summary

We are seeking a hands‑on Production Scheduler to support the development and execution of a new production scheduling process within our operations. This role will work directly with the Master Scheduler to build and sustain a scheduling system from the ground up, starting with manual and visual tools on the shop floor and evolving into a structured, system‑driven process over time.

This is not a purely system‑based planning role; this position requires daily engagement with production, active participation on the shop floor, and the ability to translate plans into executable schedules in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
Shop Floor Scheduling and Execution
  • Develop and maintain production schedules aligned to the master production plan
  • Support execution of schedules on the shop floor using visual tools such as whiteboards and trackers
  • Monitor real‑time production status and adjust schedules based on constraints, material availability, and changing priorities
  • Communicate build plans clearly to production teams
Daily Cadence and Communication
  • Participate in and support daily production stand‑ups
  • Track and communicate schedule adherence, production issues, and priority changes
  • Coordinate with production, materials, and program management teams
Process Development
  • Assist in building a standardized scheduling process from the ground up
  • Help design and improve visual scheduling systems, workflows, and escalation processes
  • Support transition from manual processes to ERP and MRP systems
Performance and Continuous Improvement
  • Track key metrics including on‑time delivery, schedule adherence, and production versus plan
  • Identify gaps and drive improvements in flow and production stability
  • Support lean and process improvement efforts
Coordination and Problem Solving
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts related to capacity, materials, and priorities
  • Escalate issues impacting production execution when needed
  • Ensure alignment between planning and actual production conditions
Required Qualifications
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing planning, or operations support
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably BTO/ETO
  • Working knowledge of scheduling principles including capacity and sequencing
  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with visual scheduling tools or manual production control systems
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles such as 5S and Kaizen
  • Exposure to shop floor operations or supervisory roles
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced and changing environments
